Welcome to the
Little Book Collective

Sharing Our Stories.

Who Are We?

The Little Book Collective is the result of a handful of good friends who find enjoyment sharing their favourite novels and reads with others.

Highly invested in a good story, the LBC exchange books, share recommendations regularly and despite all living far and wide speak often about books we are reading, what we liked, what we didn’t like, nothing beats a good natter!

Our main genres float around crime, slice of life and comedy (but we will look at anything with a good story!). We keep our reads and reviews here on this little corner of the internet to take our notes of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Book of the Month

The Immortalists

The story is set in 1969, in New York’s Lower East Side. Living in a grotty tenement building is a travelling psychic who claims to be able to tell anyone the date they will die. Four young siblings, The Golds, sneak out of their own apartment to learn their fortunes. Each child deals with this information in different ways. Either throwing caution to the wind, living life like every day is their last, hurtling towards the inevitable or attempting to cheat or defy the knowledge, but each in their own way a slave to the fortune teller’s predictions. Each sibling gets his/her own section of the book, prompting our own questions about how we would deal with this earth-shattering information. Do we choose to live or do we choose to survive……..
